COMMANDER 32 Infantry Battalion Lieutenant Colonel Anderson Chibvongodze has applauded the Rusape community for rendering unwavering support towards the military fundraising initiatives.

Col Chibvongodze told The Manica Post that proceeds from last week’s fun shoot will be channelled towards charity.

This year’s event was attended by several business executives, residents and children with the major attraction being the fun shoot were members of the public were given the opportunity to aim guns.

White commercial farmers led by Mr Andrew Dawson and Mr Robert Smart also participated, with the former being the crowd favourite given his mesmerising aimings.

British pastors from the One Church UK, who were in the town for evangelical mission, also attended and participated in the fun-shoot under the tutelage of their host Reverend Kennedy Makwenda.

People were also treated to variety menus, beverages and snacks.
“The purpose of this event is to allow the military and the business community and selected influential persons of Rusape and members of the community to interact in a non-formal way.

We also create synergies and mutual understanding in a relaxed environment,” said Lt Col Chibvongodze.
