ZIMBABWE Consolidated Diamond Company has dismissed social media messages saying the company is recruiting.

In a statement, the company said the notices were fake and false and must be dismissed with the contempt they deserve.

“ZCDC wishes to advise that no such recruitments are taking place and would want to warn the public that these notices are fake and false, hence, they must be dismissed with the contempt they deserve. In the past few months, we noted cases of corrupt individuals who are impersonating the ZCDC human resources office and recruiting for the company.

“These culprits are misusing social media platforms and duping job seekers by soliciting payment in return for recruitment into ZCDC. This notice serves to inform the general public that ZCDC only uses the mainstream print (national press) in its recruitment processes, and not social media or external recruitment agents,” said part of the statement.

They advised prospective applicants to respond by submission of their curriculum vitae including relevant attached documents through the company’s electronic recruitment mail. Thereafter, selections are carried out by the Human Resources department.

The public has been urged to report any suspicious conducts or people who masquerades as ZCDC employees to the nearest police station.

“No individual should be induced to make payment in order to be employed by ZCDC. Members of the public are welcome to seek clarification from the ZCDC offices on 04 852 401-4, 0772 136 951 and 0800 4100/4101.”
