ZB Bank Financial Holdings on Wednesday officially opened the refurbished Mutare branch in line with the bank’s 2018 campaign of going big on service delivery, product innovation, technology and infrastructural development.

ZB Financial Holdings head corporate services, Mr Shadowsight Kumbirai Chiganze said they were on a drive to renovate most of the branches dotted across the country to match regional and international standards and provide customers with world-class financial services.

“Our focus continues to be on leveraging on technology, to provide customers with quality service delivery and provision of housing through our mortgage lending and property development units.

“We will focus on supporting the growth of agriculture, mining and manufacturing sectors in this region through appropriately structured loans. We will also become more prominent as financial experts in infrastructural development projects such as road rehabilitation, prepaid water meter installations and provision of solar energy,” he sad.

He revealed that ZB was now very active in the facilitation of international transactions and money transfers with the partners being Mukuru.com and World Remit.

The new look state-of-art building now comprises a self service centre which is equipped with an ATM and Internet banking section. There is a Quick Response (QR) code within the section which would allow customers to have direct access to the bank’s website and social media platforms.

ZB Bank, as part of their community responsibility programmes exhibited a $US4 000 cheque which they would hand over to Sakubva Maternity clinic to buy hospital beds, coat beds and blankets among others. Among other corporate social responsibility programmes, the bank has given support through the provision of financing for school buses and haulage trucks to customers in the transportation sector.

Mutare mayor, Clr Nhamarare, whose speech was read on his behalf by Clr Blessing Tandi, said they were pleased with ZB Bank’s efforts in financing small and medium entreprises and microfinance businesses as well as insuring business through its insurance arm ZB Life Assurance.

“This move creates not only a better perception of the ZB brand but will in turn increase and yield shareholder value. I trust that the business community and financial institutions as well as the Government will work with us as we plan to embark on several developments in the city,” he said.
