A big send off for the six cadres has been lined up at Checheche Primary School at 9am where national secretary for administration, Dr Ignatius Chombo, national commissar, Cde Saviour Kasukuwere and national secretary for youth affairs, Cde Kudzi Chipanga are expected to attend.

Zanu-PF provincial youth secretary for administration, Cde Victor Saunyama, said the youth provincial leadership was waiting for Dr Chombo’s response to their request to accord district heroes’ status to the six cadres.

“We have forwarded the papers recommending that our six departed cadres be accorded district heroes’ status. We are still waiting for the official communication from our national leaders.

“We want to give the six a big send off. They died while fighting to empower youth with residential stands. Everything is in order for tomorrow (today)’s programme and we have engaged Nyaradzo Funeral Parlour to conduct the burials.

“There shall be three buses to ferry mourners from all corners of Chipinge District. Politburo members, Cdes Chombo, Kasukuwere and Chipanga have since confirmed their attendance of the burial,” said Cde Saunyama

“We are very grateful for the assistance we received from my party Zanu-PF, Government departments and well-wishers. This is a sad loss to Chipinge and these cadres deserve a befitting send-off.

“As Chipinge South, it was going to be difficult to meet the funeral expenses alone, but we are so grateful to the support we have received,” said Cde Porusingazi.
