A 30-year-old soldier is facing allegations of assaulting his wife whom he also forced to eat his faeces following a divorce dispute. Machisa Jani was arraigned before Miss Perseverance Makala recently on physical abuse allegations.

The court heard that on April 11 this year at 8am in Chikanga 2, the accused person told his wife, Sheilla Mudzimiri (25), that he no longer loved her. A misunderstanding arose which resulted in Jani assaulting Mudzimiri. He went on to bit the complainant on the right arm and dragged her out of the house. The accused allegedly scooped his faeces with his hand and forced them into the complaint’s mouth. Jani pleaded guilty to the charges and he was fined $200 or face one month imprisonment.
