A ZIMUNYA woman was assaulted by her husband after accusing him of squandering money on beer.
Tendai Zimunya (29) pleaded guilty to the assault charges when he appeared before Mutare magistrate, Miss Perseverance Makala last week.
Public prosecutor, Mr Fletcher Karombe, told the court that on April 2, at around 1am, Zimunya came back from 30 Miles Business Centre where he was drinking beer and knocked on their bedroom door.
His wife, Kudzai Manjovha (20) questioned him why he had wasted all the money on beer.
Zimunya assaulted Munjovha. She fled from the room and sought refugee from her employer, Mrs Ufia Mutore whom Zimunya also pushed to the ground after she tried to rescue Munjovha. Zimunya was ordered to pay $50 fine or spend 30 days imprisonment.
