WhatsApp text messages and nude pictures that form the basis of a $10 000 adultery lawsuit facing Revival Centre World Mission Church founder — Prophet Adventure Mutepfa — show sexually intimate text exchanges with the married congregant.
Vincent Ndlovu of Pegasus in Dangamvura has since filed his papers at the Mutare Civil Courts (Case number 907/ 17) through his lawyer, Mrs Ndafa Muchanyara of Pundu and Company Legal Practitioners.
In his papers, Ndlovu claims that the prophet was having an affair with his wife, Fortunate Ndlovu.
According to some of the messages — a printed transcript that The Weekender has in its possession, the prophet was allegedly madly in love that at one instance he allegedly send a nude picture of his manhood to the church member’s wife begging to be intimate.
The dialogue between the alleged lovebirds is laden with unprintable words with strong sexual connotations.
In the messages, on November 28 last year the prophet wrote to Fortunate admiring her WhatsApp profile picture:

The conversation continued up to December 31, 2016.
In his particulars of claim, Ndlovu alleged that he saw the love messages after he took his wife’s phone for repairs.
“The plaintiff is married to Fortunate Ndlovu (nee Razera) in terms of the Marriages Act; Chapter 5:11 and the marriage still subsists. Sometime in November 2016, the plaintiff took the mobile phone which was being used by his wife to effect repairs. He saw some love messages between his wife and the defendant (Prophet Mutepfa).
“The plaintiff confronted the defendant and he admitted to it. He thereafter advised the plaintiff not to tell anyone about the story. Thereafter, the defendant donated his BMW, Registration Number ABV 0163 to the plaintiff and this was meant to conceal the issue. The defendant later demanded his motor vehicle back and took it back. This was after I had already incurred towing expenses since the vehicle was not in good condition,” read the particulars of claims.
Ndlovu is demanding $10 000 for adultery damages and an additional $100 he incurred while towing the BMW.
“Plaintiff’s feelings of piety and dignity have been infringed as a result of defendant’s act. Plaintiff has also suffered loss of consortium that includes not only patrimonial loss, but also immaterial damage associated with the loss of love, friendship and spiritual.
“As a result of the adultery, the plaintiff has suffered damages namely; contumelia inflicted upon in the sum of $5 000, the loss of consortium in the sum of $4 000, pain and suffering in the sum of $900. The defendant knowingly committed the adultery.”
Mrs Muchanyara revealed this week that the prophet, through his lawyer, Mr Lloyd Mvere of Mvere, Chikamhi, Mareanadzo Legal Practitioners, has since lodged a notice to defend at the courts.
“The lawyers have picked up certain aspects in our claim papers which they are contesting,” she said.
