BUDDING rapper, Nigel Torindo, popularly known as Aguila, is on the verge of releasing his second album titled Lucid before end of this year.
The 21-year old musician who stormed onto the music scene three years ago after discovering his talent at high school level said the eight-track album was a befitting Christmas present for his fans.
Tracks of the forthcoming album are Time (featuring Saint and Kelly), Ndiwe (featuring Chana), Intimidated (featuring KXD), The cycle (Acoustic version), Alcohol, Crave (featuring Sci-Fi flow), Before the light and Be-U-tiful (featuring Kelly).
The youthful hip hop artiste mooted his career at Hillcrest College in 2013 before releasing a mixtape titled The Perfect Grey in 2014. Memorable highlight of his career, however, was when he performed at the 2014 Zim hip hop awards. He rose to fame after his song, “G.O.A.T” received rave reviews across radio stations.
“Lucid is about a man who loses his core values or forgets about what should actually matter the most, which is love, as he pursues his career. I sing about my relationship with my fiancé about how we met and the journey we have travelled so far. The song, Before the light, is a reflection of my life, where I come from and where I am going. It’s all about those thoughts that rushed to me just before I “died”.
After managing to sync an interesting concept with the synergy of a digital Hip Hop production from Seengy and a live sound production from C.Bleech, adding on his wittiness, insane wordplay and good delivery elevates the project to “flames!” status.
The album also features other upcoming artistes such as Saint, Sci-Fi Flow, KXD, Chana, Zoe and Kelly.
