THE fifth edition of the exciting Troutbeck Classic Golf Tournament is expected to attract more than 70 players when the competition tees off tomorrow (Saturday) at the picturesque resort in Nyanga.

The first tee off is at 8am. Troutbeck general manager, Charlton Chimbira, confirmed that the 9/9 Troutbeck Golf Course which plays host to the annual tournament has already been spruced up ahead of the event.

“We will have the Troutbeck Classic on Saturday tomorrow) at our golf course. This is an annual event that we hope will bring together more than 70 golfers.

“We have already spruced up the course in preparation for the tournament and the response that we have been getting from golfers around the country has been overwhelming. We are looking forward to an exciting tournament as it has been over the past five years,” said Chimbira. He said the tournament was meant to bring golfers from all over the country to experience the Troutbeck Resort golf course and networking. “The field is usually plus or minus 70 golfers. We are expecting 70 golfers this year. We have no invited pros. The tournament is meant to bring golfers from all over the country to experience the Troutbeck Resort golf course and networking,” he said.

The annual golf competition is sponsored by Troutbeck Resort as well as it business partners that include Dawnwise, FBC Bank, Liquid, ZB Bank and Colcom.
