Rumours circulating the web after a report released by an Apple analyst suggest the company may release three new iPads this year.

KGI Securities analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, who is renowned for making accurate claims around Apple products prior to their launch, suggest that the company will announce a cheaper 9,7-inch iPad, an approximately 10-inch large iPad and a 12,9-inch iPad Pro.

Kuo has predicted that the 12,9-inch iPad Pro will be the second generation to the current iPad Pro, with the 10-inch model featuring a narrow bezel design, while both will feature Apple’s A10X chip.

The cheaper 9-inch iPad will purportedly feature the A9 chip and will be a lower-cost option.

The first iPad was announced by the late Apple founder Steve Jobs in April 2010 and since then 11 models of the computer tablet have been released.

Kuo has predicted that the next iPads will be launched in the second-quarter of 2017.

He has previous predicted colours, models and features of the iPhones and iPads including the release of the 12-inch iPad Pro, Force Touch feature and Rose Gold colour of the Apple Watch.

Meanwhile, Apple on Monday celebrated the 10th anniversary of the release of the first iPhone announced by Jobs.

Since the initial release, 15 iPhones have been launched to the current iPhone 7. — Fin24.
