THOUSANDS of people from all walks of life in Manicaland today thronged and filled Sakubva Stadium to its brim to witness the country’s 38th independence anniversary celebrations.
This year’s celebrations were attended by Mozambican delegation led by the Manica Province Governor Cde Alberto Mondlane.
Minister of State for Manicaland Provincial Affairs Senator Monica Mutsvangwa, who is representing the President, inspected a Guard of Honour and was expected to deliver the presidential speech.
The event was coloured by an assortment of entertainment from security forces, war veterans and local artistes.
