The ManicaPost

Peter Madondo

GOOD day, I hope I find you well. Many times I have wondered!!! There is confusion on what Jesus died for on the Cross of Calvary. I am aware that I may not be the only one who feels the same. The inspired scriptures put it straight that Jesus Christ is the pioneer and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). I am a firm believer of the good that Jesus meant when he hung on that cross with immense shame.

My worry today is should the Lord Jesus returns as per his promise, will he embrace the church today and confidently hand it over to the Father.

Your guess is as good as mine!!!.

The obvious question that quickly finds its way into people’s minds is: ‘Did Jesus ever left a pronounce channel that ensures the oneness of his Body, the Church (Colossians 1:18.)?’

The desire of Jesus was to see all those who accept his Lordship to belong to this one very body.

This is evidenced by the fact that he took his precious time praying for unity among those called by his name John17:20-21.

So what has happened to this noble quest of Jesus of having all those called by his name to belong to one harmonious family?

The Biblical scenario of 1 Corinthians 1:10 surely reinvented itself in an amplified version.  Some said I belong to Cephas, some to Paul, some to Paul and still some to Christ. . .It took Paul, the Apostle to denounce and refute the disintegration. This clearly pronounced that there is no room for division in the church of Jesus.

Surprisingly in this present day, denominations are being born by each passing day and as we speak there are more than three million Christian denominations across the world.

This phenomenon has definitely weakened Christianity instead of combating the scourge of fragmentation, the men of cloth are actually fanning it.

The world has been plunged into a very deep pool of confusion and the confusion is sugar courted that it becomes a mammoth task separating the truth from fables.

So what will the Master do to this? Is this gross spiritual abuse going to go unpunished. I certainly feel that Jesus will pose a couple of questions to be answered by those who claim to be his messengers yet have pursued division and confusion in the body of Christ.

Remember God is not a God of confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33).

No matter how successful one’s efforts might turn out to be, this doesn’t make God change His plan that those who believe in Him should be one.

The Master will certainly bring to test every work that men have invented (1 Corinthians 3: 13).

The Lord Jesus do a thorough cleansing of his house, the church. I am pleading with you Gentle Readers that instead of further lacerate the body of Jesus, let us propagate unity among those who believe in him.

Imagine a world that has a common Christian religion, surely it is invincible. It is not a secret that Islam has managed to hold onto their faith and thus today statics show it is the fastest growing religion.

I appreciate the zeal that the man of cloth have shown over the years .

It will certainly be nobler if we pull resources together not for personal and expand the kingdom of God and not to focus on lining our pockets.

An avalanche of men of God today has misdirected their efforts in trying to show innocent people that I have more powers.

There are surely heavier matters of Christianity that we can dwell on than personal glory.

Jesus never intended division and confusion to be as rife as witnessed today, hence do not be caught offside.

I will rather invest in ensuring the kingdom of Jesus is unified than pursuing personal glory.

It is time we deny and resist being tossed by every wind of doctrine and remain adamant and unshakable in the unifying gospel of Christ (Ephesians 4:14). Do not follow the ignorant because if a blind man leads another, both will fall into the pit.

Buy the truth and sell it no more (Proverbs 23:23)

Till next time.
