ZIFA Eastern region division one outfit Tenax FC have been dealt a huge blow ahead of the new soccer season after three of their regular players Malvin Dumbura, Nyasha Chintuli and Farai Mugumwa left the Prison and Correctional Services team for Mutare City Rovers and Caps United.

Caps United is on the verge of sealing a deal with former striker Malvin Dumbura while Farai Mugumwa and Nyasha Chintuli are already training with Gusha Bhora on a one year loan.
Mugumwa and Chintuli were spotted last week training with Gusha Bhora under the watchful eye of gaffer Jose Takaringofa.

Tenax coach Blessing Madombi confirmed the latest developments at the club and added that Dumbura has been training with the Harare side for three weeks. He said that their executive and Caps United will be meeting soon to finalise everything since no deal has been struck yet between the two parties.

“I can confirm that Farai Mugumwa and Nyasha Chintuli are on a one year loan to Mutare City Rovers. I am very happy that Malvin Dumbura has made the grade at Caps United and we will be meeting them soon to discuss the deal,” he said. Madombi admitted that the departure of the three star players will cost the team though he was quick to say they are already mapping the way forward to replace them.

“In a way it does affect us as a club but we are also bringing in new players, we hope to come out a stronger and better side than before. At the moment I can not disclose names as negotiations are still underway but no one is from the local teams,” he said.

Malvin Dumbura netted nine goals last season while Mugumwa found the back of the net thirteen times. Mugumwa was also part of the eleven best players in the region.

Mutare City Rovers manager Linton Kanyemba confirmed that the two are training with them.
