I always believe that it matters who you surrounds yourself with.IF you lie down with dogs, you get up with fleas.Nutritionists tell us: “You are what you eat.” We are also what we hear. The people you surround yourself with—those you interact with regularly—have a huge impact on you.

To be successful, you must surround yourself with the right people.

I am not talking about financial success or powerful people, necessarily. Financial success is only a small part of how we should view someone’s life.

Right means morally or socially correct or acceptable, agreeing with the facts and the truth. It is speaking, acting, or judging in a way that agrees with the facts or truth.

So you see, it does not have anything to do with authority or finances. Being right is being what the society admires and appreciates.

They are people who will inspire you to be a better person, provide you with motivation to achieve your goals, empower you to make the changes you need to succeed and cheer on your success.

One educationist once said: “Bring me three of your friends and l will know everything about you.” The people around us play a greater part in our lives. See who is around you and you know your destiny.

The people we choose to surround ourselves with impacts the way we think, act and feel on a day-to-day basis.

In many ways, entrepreneurial success is determined much like success in any other aspect of life.

A young football player will succeed if he surrounds himself with people who push him to become better, not people who distract him from his potential.

As individuals, we are responsible for ourselves. Surrounding yourself with the right type of people can help success come more naturally to you than being around those who might hold you back.

People have a huge impact on your life.

“You are the average of the five people you spend most time with,” says American entrepreneur and motivational speaker, Jim Rohn.

With this in mind, you should think about the people you are spending time with, the same way you think about what you eat and how you are exercising.

Some people can be parasites.

They suck out your happiness, energy and maybe some of your tangible resources as well. You can put spending time with them in the same category as eating nachos on the couch.

There are people who you sometimes spend time with, those who you call friends and for nothing.

All you get from them are hellos and troubles.

Each time you are together, you prepare yourselves for a problem. Some come together and succeed in their plans.

Some come together and strengthens their marriages or ideas.

Think of this and see if you are surrounded by the right people.

Proverbs 13:20 reads: “Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.”

1 Corinthians 15:33 reads: “Do not be deceived. Bad company ruins good morals.”

As l conclude, a saying by Karl Max may help you: “Surround yourself with people who make you happy. People who make you laugh, who help you when you are in needy. People who genuinely care.

They are the ones worth keeping in your life. Everyone else is just passing through.”

When you are surrounded by good people, you are surrounded by life. You will be less stressed and find more joy in daily things.

Today, make a commitment to start spending more time with the right people in your life.

While it may be difficult to shrug off those who have been next to useless in your life, it is really worth it. Better strive to make sure that you also become someone a worthy friend to those around you.

Till next time, strive to be a positive influence in other people’s lives.
