WOMEN should desist from being lazy or depend on others but work for themselves, look for opportunities and help make Zanu-PF a better party.Speaking at a Zanu-PF Women’s League induction workshop for provincial executive council members held at a local hotel on Wednesday, Zanu-PF Politburo member and Deputy Secretary for Women Affairs, Cde Eunice Sandi Moyo, lashed out at women in the party who are selfish and who depend on others for a living while fanning factionalism.

“You need to take care of Zanu-PF not the other way round. Some women are lazy to look for opportunities and work for themselves. You need to be self-confident and help Zanu-PF to be a better party. But you cannot do that if you are not united. You need to be self-reliant and desist from being vulnerable. Some of you are being used because you are vulnerable. We have one problem, we don’t want to educate each other. We need to work for the party, all the positions you have is for the party consumption,” she said.

She urged the executive to unite and help retain the Chimanimani West Constituency by working in unison as a party and desist from being selfish.

“Factions are a poison in our party. You should work collectively to make Zanu-PF in Manicaland better. Do not connive to do wrong things. Fighting will slow down party business. Sometimes we are our own enemies. Run the women’s league according to the party constitution,” added Cde Moyo.

The induction, among other objectives, was meant to equip the league’s provincial executive council members with critical knowledge, leadership and administrative skills for effective performance in their respective roles as well as enable them to improve provision of services by the provision of services by the members to its clients. Zanu-PF women league’s secretary for administration, Letina Undenge, who was one of the presenters, outlined critical issues of Zanu-PF administrative systems such as duties and responsibilities of secretaries of administration.
