THREATENING to make her husband’s manhood disappear landed a Mutare woman in court recently.
Moses Maburira dragged Irene Maburira to court, with the former seeking protection against the latter saying she was in the habit of assaulting him as well as taking his cellphones.
Moses also accused Irene of making his life miserable at their matrimonial home.
Miss Nyasha Kuture heard the matter and granted the order in favour of Moses.
The court heard that Moses and Irene were sleeping in different rooms at their house.
It is alleged that Irene promised to make Moses’ manhood disappear.
“I have endured a living hell at the hands of this woman Your Worship.
“She assaults me several times using fists and she has gone to the extent of seizing my cellphones for no apparent reasons. I am a taxi driver and the car does not belong to me, but she confiscated the keys, yet that is our source of income.

“She also forcibly allocated my bedroom to tenants, leaving me with nowhere to sleep. I want the court to help me to regain my freedom and peace. I am now afraid of her as she promised to make my private parts disappear,” said Moses.
In response, Irene told the courts that Moses had abandoned her and was staying in a spare bedroom with another woman.
“He is so disrespectful to the extent of moving into a spare room with another woman. He was no longer providing anything at home and he gave me the go ahead to take his cellphones and sell them.
“Your Worship, I also confiscated the car keys because he was giving the car to our child to drive it, yet he is still under age and he has no driver’s licence. I did that to avoid problems in the house. I care so much for my husband, but he does not appreciate that,” said Irene.
She added that she was not in a position to assault her husband because of her disabled hand.
