Schoolgirl initiated into Satanism

The coin was inscribed ‘Elizabeth the first queen’. A 12-YEAR-OLD Mutare girl occasionally bolts out of the door or window, goes airborne and starts clamouring for human flesh and blood while viciously biting anyone who dares restrain her in real Satanism stunts whose script reads like a typical horror movie.

The minor, who is doing Grade Six but temporarily out of school owing to her condition, was initiated into the demonic cult of Satanism by a friend at a school in Dora just outside Mutare and her antics have given her neighbours in Zimta Park where she is currently staying sleepless nights in recent weeks.

Sadly, the young girl is now battling long and hard, with little if any success, to turn her back on the underworld of Satanism.

The innocent looking girl, who also consumes very large portions of food and furiously tries to maul the plates with her teeth whenever she finishes food, now has moments that she sees her friend and her mother coming to take her in the company of a hyena.

She even has scars on her legs, which she says were a result of being scratched by a hyena. When The Weekender visited her, neighbours were clearly unsettled about the issue although they could hardly volunteer much information.

The girl’s mother together with her in-laws were at first not comfortable to open up on the issue but latter did so after giving a convincing explanation on how they could get assistance through publicity.

In an interview, the girl told The Weekender how she started befriending a certain schoolmate whose entire family appears to be so engrossed in the Satanic cult.

“I was at . . . (school name not printed to protect the girl) in Dora when it all started.
“There was a newcomer at the school, (name supplied). We became friends from the time she joined us at the school. She has a problem that I thought was a health problem.

“She used to fall down and starts wriggling on the ground while speaking a language that we could hardly understand. So the first time that she did that, I accompanied her home just to make sure she arrives safely.

“When we arrived at her home, her mother was happy that I had helped her and encouraged me to keep helping her each time she gets into a similar problem, as this happened occasionally. I accepted it.

“Then the other day she fell down when we had gone to fetch water and started wriggling on the ground, again speaking a language that we could not understand.

“As usual, I waited for her to come back to her senses and accompanied her home. But while she was wriggling on the ground, she vomited a coin that had a hole at the centre. The coin was inscribed ‘Elizabeth the first queen,’ she said.

“Later after the trance, I showed her the coin she had vomited using my feet. I took a plastic and gave her to wrap the coin which she said she wanted to take to her mother. The mother gladly took the coin saying she wanted to pass it on to her father,” said the 12-year-old girl.

She said she then started emulating her friends’ antics about a fortnight ago.

“It was only on Friday (a fortnight ago) that I started doing the same things that my friend was doing. I would fall down in the same manner she did, speak in a language that people around me say they did not understand.

“I really do not want this but it just happens and I simply can’t do anything about it. At times I see my friend and her mother coming after me. They come in the company of a hyena, calling out that they want to get me. At times the hyena scratches me,” she said as she showed some scars that are visible on her feet.

Just as she finished narrating her account, this reporter was taken aback as she instantly started squirming on the floor and the situation deteriorated, only to be restrained by her mother and her mother’s in-laws (grandparents) whom she started biting until they sprayed ‘holy water’ that resulted in her calming down.

Her mother, who refused to be mentioned by name after consulting with her husband, said they often get assistance from Prophet Adventure Mutepfa.

“It is really painful to see your child being troubled by things that you have little, if any, knowledge about.

“We have been receiving help from Prophet Mutepfa and each time she starts to get into a trance we call him and he prays over the phone, suddenly the situation normalises.

“The challenge is that we do not always have the airtime to call the prophet and the prophet is not always reachable as he also has many other cases to concentrate on.

“The sad thing is that her friend and the family appear to be well into Satanism because when we went there with another prophet the mother refused to produce the coin that she took after it had been vomited.

“She lied that she was not aware where the father had placed it yet her youngest child was insisting that she knew where it is.

“After repeated efforts she then gave in and the child went to get the coin from where it was dug under, within their yard.

“This is so painful. At times my daughter can speak like her friend, manifesting in her saying ‘I am . . . (name of friend).

“We want to kill this girl. She was our partner. Why did you take us to church and to your spiritual healers’? At times, even in her (the 12-year-old) dreams she would speak saying ‘please just let me go I do not want all this’, she said.

Cases of Satanism among minors in Mutare appear to be on the increase. Sometime last year, residents in Mutare’s Greenside low density suburb, Abis Clause apprehended a teenager with a satchel containing a skull of a dead animal, believed to be a dog, wrapped in a red and black cloth which the boy admitted to be part of Satanism paraphernalia.

Clad in a white and green cap inscribed 666, the boy professed being a fairly new recruit in the underworld of Satanism and was going through an initiation period under the tutelage of his elder brother.
