UPCOMING and talented Rusape-based gospel musician, Godfrey Muthumeni is back in the arena after releasing his second six-track album, “Mufudzi Wangu”.

“Mufudzi Wangu” which was recorded at Diamond Studios is a follow up to his 2012 album, Chiedza Chenyika. The tracks on “Mufudzi Wangu” are title track, “Mufudzi Wangu”, “Ndimi Here Mesiya”, “Agnes Iwewe”, “Chipo Chemunana”, “Ko Munhu Chiiko” and “Ndashaiwa Mumwe.”

If the album is well marketed it has a huge potential to place Muthumeni among the country’s leading gospel musicians.

A number of tracks are already receiving favourable airplay on radio stations. The latest album has also proved that Muthumeni is a maturing musician as evidenced by the well arranged and polished instruments and melodious backing vocals.

Muthumeni, the front-man of the Heaven Seekers Band, said he expected his album to go places as he had invested a lot in the energy and resources, saying his marriage with reputable studio like Diamond Studios, was a sign that he was no longer a part time musician.

“The main theme on this album is a reminder to the world that the Lord is our Shepherd who leads our lives. It is God who lights up our ways for a better future and lifestyles.
We are preaching the word of God through our music.

“Our album has been well received by our old and new fans. We aim to go places with this recording because it is of high standard and quality.
We are also glad that our album is getting a fair share of airplay on radio stations. Very soon will be working on recording a DVD for ‘Mufudzi Wangu’,” said Muthumeni.
