JAMES Rodriguez is going through a tough time at Real Madrid this season, and is definitely not Zinedine Zidane’s favourite player.
And as it turns out, he’s not his wife’s favourite player either.
The attacking midfielder is married to Daniela Ospina, the sister of his Colombia teammate and Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina. Daniela spoke via Colombian radio on Sunday, opening up on a wide range of topics. The most surprising bit, however, is the fact that she rates Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta and her husband’s teammate Cristiano Ronaldo higher than him.
Asked who her favourite footballer is, Daniela replied: “I admire a lot and it’s kind of weird to say it, but for me Iniesta is one of the best players. Cristiano is a different position and he is very powerful, but on a soccer level I like magic.”
She also revealed that Rodriguez remains very frustrated over his current role in the Madrid team.
“For him to have to be on the bench is not easy,” she remarked. “He is very competitive and always wants to play, it is more personal frustration than with the coach.” – 90MIN.
