PLEASURE-SEEKERS of a rhumba and pole dance persuasion are in for a pleasant treat this weekend at Flavatown, with a double dosage of leisure activity starting today (Friday).

Famed Congolese dancer, Doudou, tonight descends on the up-market nightclub, situated at Mac’s Shopping Centre in Palmerstone, to host the Rhumba Nite alongside crowd-favourite, DJ Ben. Joining them on stage will be Dangerous Divas, the hottest property in the pole dance game.

DJ Ben is an internationally acclaimed wheel-spinner of a strong rhumba conviction and used to be on heavy rotation on the decks at Club Afrique, formerly Chez Ntemba, while Doudou has enjoyed stints with some of the leading names in the business like Werrason, Lubumbashi Stars, Awilo Longomba and Papa Wemba and among others.

The fiesta goes into overdrive tomorrow (Saturday) when the leisure hot-spot hosts the Weekend Tshisa Nyama, a braai and binge fête which starts in the afternoon and runs late into the night.

Confirming the shows, management at the joint, said all was set for what promises to be a thrilling weekend of non-stop entertainment action.

“Flavatown has just come alive and to ignite that activity we are hosting two massive shows this weekend. Rhumba and pole dance gigs return by public and popular demand since they have proved to be popular with patrons the last time we had something along those lines.

“Because we stand ready to satisfy our patrons, we are on Saturday (tomorrow) launching the Gango Club, an initiative that provides braai facilities and other salivating dishes during our patrons’ binges.

“This is meant to provide a get-together feel so that our clients can enjoy a memorable weekend outing for their blissful enjoyment,” the management told The Weekender.

Promising more fun-filled weekends, the management added that they had lined up other high profile shows where several pole dancers and rhumba exponents would battle for supremacy at Flavatown, while shifting a gear up and heighten activity for the first quarter of the year.

Pinkie Minaj, Lady Storm, Chocalate as well as Vee and the Shining Angels are some of the top names in the game earmarked to perform at the popular watering hole as it seeks to transform the entertainment landscape with irresistible programming.
