ONE of the most celebrated Zim-Dancehall musicians, Donald Chirisa, popularly known as Sniper Storm is set to rekindle his waning musical career when he performs at the rejuvenated night spot, Gwinyai Night Club tonight (Friday). The potentially-explosive show is likely to attract scores of entertainment-starved dancehall fans from the sprawling suburb of Sakubva and Mutare at large.

The aging artiste is likely to bring back last year’s memories when he put up a top drawer performance in front of scores of music lovers who thronged the venue popularly known as PaBako.

Organisers of the show said they intended to bring back the joint’s lost glamour by hosting revered Zim-dancehall and sungura artistes and win back the hearts of their patrons.

The night club has so far hosted Shinsoman, Progress Chipfumo, Seh Calaz and Suluman Chimbetu among others.

“Sniper’s show on Friday is a message to our patrons and all Zim-dancehall fans that we are back. Our joint is one of the most popular in Mutare and we want to retain our reputable status. Being a nightclub at the heart of the oldest high-density suburb in Mutare we believe we carry an obligation of providing pleasure seekers some undiluted fun. We will bring more celebrated artistes in near future,” said one of the organisers.

Some of Sniper’s sing-along tunes include Ndakabata Mic, Love Yemusoja, Anondifonera and Kwarira Mukati.
