A MUTARE woman on Monday left hundreds of people who thronged Dangamvura Beithall grounds for the “Go back to sender Part 2” crusade stunned after she confessed that she was a ritualist who sought money-spinning charms.

The woman, who only identified herself as Talent, scared the crowd after removing a creepy and colourful string of waist beads which had a bottle containing some red liquid and roots (midzi).

Visiting Harare-based faith healer, Madzibaba Strive Masango of Kubata Kwevapostori Faith Church ordered the woman to remove it after he had picked her from the crowd.

“There is someone here who is talking about me,” said Madzibaba Masango.

“You are desperate and single. You are not married but you are busy gossiping about me. Come closer. You are putting on some waist beads. What are you using them for? Go and remove them and come back,” he said.

The visibly shaken woman showed herself up before she went to a nearby bathroom to remove the waist beads. Women who had accompanied her shook their heads in disbelief.

She told the gathering that the beads were charms that would enrich her undisclosed business.

“I collected these charms so that I would have a lot of money. I wanted to be rich.

‘‘These charms protect me,” she said. Asked if she had gotten the wealth she looked for, she said: “Ndizvowo asi not sterek” (Not much).

Madzibaba Masango then declared: “You are going to have a fine husband. He will be a muscular man and light in complexion. You will meet a lot of men but the one I have described will marry you. Why would you use those charms to enhance your business.”

She later put on a white rob and joined the healing deliverance sessions.

The crusade, which took all day long, was broadcast live on Diamond FM and Star FM.

More than 100 people forked out $30 each to book a one-on-one session with the youthful prophet, which he later conducted.

Madzibaba Masango is known for his “Go back to sender” healing message whereby he casts demons out from sick people and send them back to haunt their source. This was the prophet’s second crusade after his maiden one at the same grounds last Monday.

Among other miracles, a Mozambican man, Mr Titos Sithole who was visually-impaired claimed that his sight was restored by Madzibaba Masango during last week’s crusade.

“I came all the way from Machazi in Mozambique so that Madzibaba would completely heal me. When I came last week, I was accompanied by someone. I couldn’t see. But he (Madzibaba Masango) touched my eyes and now I can partially see. I can now walk alone. But I want to drive.

‘‘I know he will make sure that I see very clearly because my left eye still needs attention,” he said.

Seven-year old Takunda Munyarabvu (7) who was part of the congregation and accompanied by his mother started shivering, rolling his eyes like an epileptic person was also “restored” to life after Madzibaba Masango exorcised an evil spirit which wanted him dead.

His mother, Moreblessing Mazadza of Hobhouse high-density suburb said Takunda would sometimes go unconscious.

“Madzibaba Masango rubbed some salt and milk on him and prayed for him. He vomited some blood and some strange things. He is now fine and I am happy. When we visited several hospitals, doctors did not find any medical problem. I was stranded and desperate because sometimes he could just go unconscious. I had lost faith and hope,” she said.

Madzibaba Masango commenting on Takunda’s issue said, the latter was under spiritual attacks but he was going to be free from the attacks. “Hatifirwe nemunhu tinaye. Ndine zvidiki zvandichapedzisa,” he said.
