VILLA Spot is expected to be hive of activity when the Diamond Pool League hosts its second inter club one-man tournament on Saturday (tomorrow) and Sunday at Villa Spot.

$2 will be charged for players affiliated to clubs in the Diamond Pool League, while players that are not affiliated to clubs in the league will be charged $3.

Games start at 12pm.

Diamond Pool League publicity secretary, Munyaradzi Nedziwe, confirmed that all is set for the two-day tournament.

“We are happy to hold our second tournament after successfully hosting the first one in February. DPL is inviting all pool lovers to come and take part.

“It is encouraging to note that we have managed to stand on our own and teams in the league have been fulfilling fixtures regularly. Competition has been stiff in our league matches. As for the tournament on Saturday, we hope that the best player of the day will win the tournament,” said Nedziwe.

Nedziwe said clubs were mandated to have at least six players for the tournament.

He said prizes were in store for winners.

“As for clubs in our league, each club is mandated to bring at least six players and those who fail to meet this requirement will be fined. We have fantastic prizes for winners,” he said.

Talented player, Brighton Nyauchi won the previous tournament and it remains to be seen whether he will be able to retain the champion’s medal.
