MILITARY Touch Movement (MTM)’s first lady and rising song bird, Robyn Anesu Katahle Dawani better known in the music circles as Tahle Wedzinza, is set to release her second video for the song Teleunga.
The video, which will be released later this month, was shot in Mutare and directed by Simbarashe Gwati and her manager Nyere Du Bara nee Chaya, while the song was produced, DJ Tamuka under MTM.
In an interview with The Weekender, Tahle’s manager who is also her mother said the shooting of the music video in the Eastern border city of Mutare was a unique opportunity to merge the music and tourism industry.
“Teleunga is Hawaiian dance of prosperity and being born bred in the Eastern Highlands, I see a lot of unlocked opportunities in the region.
“It is a region with a potential to prosper due to its unique geographic features such as the mountainous terrain, its flora and fauna as well. Knowing the beauty of Mutare, I saw it fitting for the music video to be shot in the city of Diamonds,” she said. She also said this was an opportunity to showcase to the nation as well as the region what Manicaland has to offer in terms of tourist attractions and made no sympathies for promoting brand Manicaland.
“People have come to just turn left at Nyanga turn off along the Harare-Mutare highway and travel back not knowing what areas such as Vumba and Chimanimani also have on offer to tourists,” she added.
The music video was shot in Vumba as well in the Central Business District of Mutare and is set to première in Mutare later this month.
