MUTARE-BASED staunch DeMbare fan, Coleen Mbato, has been co-opted into the nine-member national Dynamos Supporters’ Association executive with immediate effect. Mbato has been the Dynamos Supports’ Association Mutare chapter chairperson until his recent co-option.
As the Dynamos Supporters’ Association executive puts its house in order, Dynamos has not been the feared outfit they are known to be for this season, being knocked out of the Chibuku Super Cup at the first hurdle and is already out of contention for the league title.
In an interview, Mbato said he was coming into the supporters national executive of the country’s best supported outfit at a time they are not playing well, hence the need to brainstorm in finding solution to help Dynamos regain its status.
“I am obviously happy to be part of the national executive of our beloved team’s supporters executive.
Unfortunately this comes at a time when the team is not getting good results. As we speak, Dynamos are not where we know they should be on the log table.
“We have been bundled out of the Chibuku Super Cup and all this points to a crisis at Dynamos.
Therefore, the honours is on us as a supporters’ representative body to brainstorm and proffer solutions that could help Dynamos get back to where they are supposed to.
“Personally I have been there before and I know the culture at Dynamos, therefore I do not think I will have challenges in gelling with other members of the national executive,” said Mbato.
Other members of the national Dynamos Supporters’ Association executive include chairman, Austin Chapfika, his deputy, Walter Taranike, secretary, Benjamin Munzira, treasurer, Francis Madzinga, co-ordinator, Dennis Mukote, organising secretary, Tafirenyika Mapepa, committee members, Risitu Mero, Charles Mtetwa and Mbato.
