Dear Tete
I am in love with my mother’s best friend and I do not know how to tell her. We have been seeing each other for over two years now and she has since fallen pregnant. My mother says a lot of good things about her friend, but I am afraid that when she finds out the compliments may turn into insults. Help me.

My son, you have not disclosed your age, but I want to believe that you are mature enough to make your own decisions. Dealing with your mother is a task that you will have to take up sooner or later. The risk of bad blood brewing between the best friends is very high and you must be prepared to handle the tension. It would have been nice if your girlfriend would have told her best friend what was going on, but then again it must have been difficult. If you are under age or if this relationship started when you were a child, then there is a problem. All the best.
