The Indian right hand batsman made his first class debut when Mountaineers played Tuskers on November 6-9 when he scored 30 runs in the first innings and 67 runs in the second innings. He went on to put a superb performance against Rising Stars by scoring 153 runs not out.

Meanwhile, Zimbabwe Cricket has postponed domestic cricket for the rest of 2017, in order to upgrade facilities ahead of next year’s World Cup qualifiers. With all grounds being out of action until at least January 20, 2018,  Logan Cup matches due to be played between December 10 and 18 have been postponed, and ZC is yet to confirm new dates.  Some of the matches were scheduled to be played at grounds that will be used for the World Cup Qualifiers.

ZC are upgrading five venues – Harare Sports Club, Old Harareans, Queens Sports Club, Bulawayo Athletic Club and Kwekwe Sports Club – for the tournament itself, and Takashinga Cricket Club and Old Mutual Heath Streak Academy as practice venues. ZC Media and Communication manager Darlington Majonga confirmed the latest developments, adding that they have to provide facilities that are up to standard.

“Work is already in progress. We will have 10 warm up matches on February 21 and 44 matches from March 3- 25.  We do not have dates so far as for when we will resume our games, but we will definitely continue with our Logan Cup and T20 games. The games that were scheduled for January will not be affected,” he said.
