A MUM was left mortified after she tried to email her son’s school to tell them she was keeping him off — and instead sent a very rude message.

Anglea Kovacs contacted her son Louis’s head of year to explain that he would be absent on Tuesday after suffering an allergic reaction at the dentist the previous day.

But autocorrect on her iPhone meant that instead of ‘keeping her son off’, Angela wrote that she was ‘jerking him off’ instead, leaving Angela scrambling to send an apology for her x-rated mishap. Louis, 11, woke up with a swollen face after having a tooth removed on Monday and was in too much pain to attend classes.

Angela’s email to Park High School in Colne, Lancashire read: “Hi I’m just letting you know that Louis had a reaction to the anaesthetic from having teeth out yesterday. I’m jerking him off because I need to keep an eye on him and give him antihistamine regularly. Hopefully he will be back tomorrow.

Thanks.” Angela, 44, from Barrowford, Lancashire, said: “I’ve never been so embarrassed. I was rushing around trying to look after him and I’d not checked what was written.“I was absolutely mortified. I wrote it in a hurry and I’m blaming autocorrect and fat thumbs.“By the time I’d realised what I’d done, they’d already replied but didn’t acknowledge it. “I didn’t read it back before I sent it.

Once I spotted the mistake I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.“The teacher replied saying not to worry, it was fine, but she didn’t point out the mistake. She was probably just trying to be polite. “I could have died. I sent a message back just to explain myself, correct it, and say sorry. Predictive text has a lot to answer for.

“I couldn’t have written anything worse.”

Angela, who has another son, eight-year-old Bailey, soon got another response from the school telling her ‘not to worry’.—Mirror Online
