One of Zimbabwe’s youngest entrepreneurs, who is the chief executive and co-founder of Shasha Network, Farai Munjoma was recently awarded the first ever Community Engagement Award by the Anzisha Prize in South Africa.

This is an award that aims to recognise the efforts made by young African entrepreneurs in the Anzisha fellowship, in leveraging on the African Leadership Network. Munjoma is a 20-year-old 2015 Anzisha Fellow, and a Marist Nyanga alumni.

Since entering into the network, he has gone under transformational learning experiences, by first attending the African Leadership Academy in South Africa where he excelled by participating in Youth Entrepreneurial Support Unit programmes, hosting Entrepreneurial Leadership development workshops and engaging in Social innovation initiatives in Swaziland and Lesotho.

The Anzisha Prize is the continent’s biggest award for young Entrepreneurs on the African continent and aims at searching for the youngest and most innovative young people between the ages of 16 and 22. Every year, 12 young people are selected from across the continent to be part of this incredible lifetime fellowship.

They are initiated into the Anzisha Network ecosystem, which will help them develop and scale their businesses. Munjoma is currently a student at the African Leadership University in Mauritius. He together with his team run an online education platform known as Shasha (www.shashaisemianr.com). Shasha aims to provide Zimbabwean High school students, specifically Advanced level and Ordinary level a quality online Library that has content to help them in their examinations.

“Shasha is loaded with exam papers and notes that will definitely turn every student into a pro. Aided with Career guidance, Shasha is a one stop site for all your educational requirements as a student. This is ample evidence that African problems can be solved by young African people. It is an example of relevant African innovation driven by young people,’’ said Munjoma.
