FOR allegedly shouting that his male neighbour was his girlfriend while drunk, a Yeovil man appeared in court facing disorderly conduct charges.

Kingstone Marevanadzo (31) of Number 16, Morris, Yeovil, pleaded guilty to the charge when he appeared before senior Mutare magistrate, Mr Langton Mukwengi. He was being charged with disorderly conduct as defined in Section 41 of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act, Chapter 9:23.

Representing the State was Mr Fletcher Karombe.

Allegations were that Marevanadzo proceeded to Number 18, Morris, Yeovil, shouting that Fortune Marowa was his girlfriend. He jumped over the fence and entered Marowa’s home where he found him in his bedroom.

He pushed Marowa who fell on the bed. Marowa, however, managed to overpower Marevanadzo by pushing him off.

After the defeat, Marevanadzo is alleged to have rushed home.

He was ordered to pay $20 fine or 10 days imprisonment.
