Hello there Mutare. How are you all doing this week? So many questions have been raised about the bridegroom attire and this is my take on it.
Yes, we all know that weddings are for the bride and her bridal party. In as much as this fact holds water, it is important to bear in mind that the bride cannot get married and wed alone. She has a partner, the bridegroom. In my mind the groom has the right to feel like it is his day, just as much as the bride.
It then makes sense for the groom to look amazing on that special day.
Some men just choose their wedding attire without taking everything into account. By “everything” I mean, skin colour, height, wedding colour theme, age and the season one is getting married in.
It is not necessary for the groom to wear a three piece suit, but it is great if he can. After all you only do this once…we hope. It is also perfectly okay if the groom matches his groomsmen, but even if he dresses totally different from them it is also okay. Look at the bride, she looks nothing like her bridesmaids, the same is perfectly alright on the men’s side.
