HUSBAND CHEATED WITH A MAN
My husband was a good man until I caught him cheating with another man. He would take care of me and my children’s everyday needs. He loved me. We were married in church before God. When I saw them in bed, I could not confront him. I lost all my strength and since then I am disgusted by him. I have not told anyone what I saw after all who will believe me?

You need to open up to someone you can trust, preferably a professional counsellor. Keeping such a secret can cause you more harm than good. You may think you are saving face but in the process you are dying slowly. Get help as a matter of urgency. You need it.

I HATE MY SON
Eight years ago, I gave birth to my son. From the day I saw him, I hated him. His father raped me, my parents chased me and my life just went down the road because of him.
Now, I have to struggle with him. I know it sounds evil, but this is the truth. How can I work through this hate. I want to love him but I am failing. Several times I beat him or starve him, why? Help me.

Failing to move in from a certain incident that was traumatic can cause emotional disorders in one’s life. You did not make peace with the rape and having your parents reject you must have further bruised your soul. It is not unheard of for a mother to have resentment towards her child but you must seek help. With professional assistance, you can mend your relationship with your son. He has done nothing wrong to you and he needs you to love him or else he will become a problematic child. My sister, breathe, cry, shout, do what you must to bury the hatchet of hate for you and your son.

A businessman with money has been calling my school going daughter. I discovered that he has been buying gifts for her and giving her money. I am poor but I do not want my daughter to be spoilt because of our financial status. I spoke to my daughter but I suspect she enjoys what he can do for her over what I offer her. How can I save her.

As a parent there is only so much you can do for a child sometimes. You provide what you can, teach them, caution them and then let them out to the world. You only hope as a parent that you have influenced your child enough so that they hear and see you even in your absence. Try speaking to the businessman, if your child is under age use the law. No one is above the law especially in the new era. Prayer and meditation is important before God. He is the owner of all things.
