This is how some of Mutare’s socialites, entertainers and pleasure providers spent their Christmas Day. They took time to share their holiday experiences with our Entertainment Correspondent, Liberty Dube.

Hosiah Chipanga (veteran wordsmith, musician)

I travelled to Mupudzi with my band Vaparidzi VeShoko for a live performance. We had fun with our fans.

Blessing Shumba (Leading gospel artiste, pastor, electrician)

It was a blessed day. I spent the day in Hwedza with my band. It was special in many ways. I travelled along with my wife Pauline who is also a backing vocalist.

Eddie Gopo (Rozvi Sports Bar owner)

It was undiluted fun. I spent time at the bar with our patrons. I also had some fine moments with my family.

Brian Samaita (Musician, socialite and businessman)

I spent the better part of the day with my family and friends. We exchanged gifts and shared life’s experiences. It was a blessed day.

Obey “Big Fish” Hove (Soul City co-owner and socialite)

We had fun. Although the day was short, I managed to spend quality time with my family. I later went to my workplace for some drinks.

Boniface Nyamanhindi (Leading show promoter, Mandisa Night Club proprietor)

Despite my busy schedule, I managed to relax at home and took a rest. It was family time. My grandchildren and other relatives were home. We had time to catch up.

 Olin Anderson (Kunashe Studios founder, producer and keyboardist)

I was with the Psalmist (Blessing Shumba) in Hwedza were we had a show. It was an electrifying atmosphere. We performed in front of scores of people from all walks of life. I later had dinner with my family.

We travelled to Vumba for a family outing. We had lunch and some drinks. It was a special day for all of us, particularly my siblings and children as we managed to meet and reflect on the year 2017 and share next year’s resolutions.
