HELLO there folks, how are you doing this March 2017? As promised, this month we will show you how different a person can look after a change of look, whether hair, makeup or fashion.

I have to be honest with you all that today’s make-up trends are crazy. Make-up is supposed to enhance your God given beauty, but the transformation being done these day around the world (including Zimbabwe), is amazing, yes, but they make a person unrecognisable.

This then makes men dislike women and their make-up because she is one thing during the day, but looks totally different after her face is washed at night. These latest make-up techniques all put the ordinary woman off make-up because they are forced to spend hours in front of the mirror trying to follow a teenager on Youtube, who transforms herself from ugly duckling to Barbie doll in minutes.

It should not be like that, and as the Fashion Diva in Manicaland, I make it my business to bring you the latest trends. I am there to show you how to be trendy without always following the trend. That is what our makeovers are about this month. It is about taking you from where you are and showing you that with a little tweak here and a tweak there, you can look amazing, but still feel like yourself.

Now having criticised the current fashion trends in respect to the ordinary woman, I must however, say that I am grateful to the many different techniques now being used with make-up such as hiding dark patches under the eyes. Contouring to make plump faces look narrower.

Masculine features are softened using different shades, small eyes are made larger and vice a versa using different eye contouring methods, blemishes disappear at the stroke of a brush too. So women no longer have to put up with natures cruel jokes on us sometimes. We can now simply cover them up.

Those that know me also know that I am pushing as much naturality in reference to our hair as possible. So this week’s hair and face make-over portrays just that.

The lady has natural kinky hair and kept it hidden. The hair was washed and left to dry naturally.

A little Shea Butter leave in conditioner with Shea butter curl stretch made her kinks soft and stylish.

Her lips were kept natural looking with the use of tinted lip moisturiser only. To cover her blemishes, Concealer and foundation were used.

Her eyebrows were obviously neatened and shaped. For her eyes, natural brown/pink eye-shadow was applied. Eyeliner on the top lid opened her eyes up, and double mascara was used on her lashes to give her the effect of lash extensions. A change of earrings size (from studs to large hangings) also changed her look surprisingly.

The finished look is simple, but beautiful. Yes she is transformed from her everyday look to a professional woman’s look, but it is still close to natural looking.

Hope you are feeling inspired men and woman to make that change this season.
