Hillcrest hosts Culture Night

HILCREST Prep will be a hive of activity next Wednesday night when the school hosts the annual Afro-Cultural Night which is part of the school’s commemorations of Africa Day.

Africa Day falls on May 25. The Afro-Cultural Night starts at 6pm to 8pm.
The Afro-Cultural Night at Hillcrest Prep on May 24 is part of Africa Day commemorations which falls on May 25.

Teacher-in-charge of culture and coordinator of the event, Jane Madzudzo, confirmed the event and said: “We will have the Afro-Cultural Night at Hillcrest Prep on May 24. The event starts at 6pm to 8pm. It is part of the commemorations of Africa Day which falls on May 25. It is not really an event open to the public as we mainly expecting parents with children at the school as well as key stakeholders to attend.”

Dances, singing, poems and skits will be staged live to commemorate Africa Day. There will also be traditional, Indian, Greek, English and Portuguese food on display.

Guest performers, The Grange Christian School and Africa University are also expected to provide entertainment to attendees.
