He accuses me of wizardy tete babra

The ManicaPost

For years, I have tried to get along with my brother, but I have come to a point where I no longer want to even hear his name. We are three boys in our family with two sisters. Growing in the rural areas was tough, but we stuck together wearing rags and walking barefooted. I was lucky to have found a job soon after Form Four as a gardener with a family that was kind enough to help me further my schooling. I went to college and trained. I started my own business. Every month I would send my family small gifts to keep them going until one day I heard that my elder brother was accusing me of possessing wealth enhancing charms.

I was broken, but decided to confront him for answers. When I met him, he denied having said such things and I believed him. Eight months ago, his daughter died and word reached me again that I was the cause of her death. This time when I asked him he did not deny it. He asked me how it is that my life is better than his if it is not charms that I use. I just left the house. How do I deal with such a problem?

Tete Responds
Sibling rivalry if uncontrolled can get out of hand so much that some may drift apart for life. Jealousy can get out of hand and slowly develop into hate overtime. Being born of the same parents does not guarantee that there will be harmony and love always. Relationships take a lot of hard work to keep them going. Some siblings need more attention and recognition than others to be happy, but it is not possible to please them all. You may not have realised the rivalry when you were younger, but from the look of thing this is not a development that sprouted overnight. I suggest you speak to your parents about this issue as it is clearly disturbing you. It is also necessary for you to explain how you worked hard to be where you are today because some people do not understand the processes of life.

If communication does not help you resolve your differences, continue living your life. You know what you sacrificed, the hard work you did and the journey you had to take to be successful.  People will always talk, but you must always live. Remember to love your family even through their weaknesses. One day he will appreciate you.

Keep loving.
