UPCOMING gospel artiste Honest Bhasvi has dropped his second project titled “Rwendo Rwemutendi” which is laden with inspirational and deep meaning lyrics after a five-year sabbatical.

The offering, is set to propel him to the top echelons of gospel music as it is a great improvement from his previous project in terms of instrument arrangements and lyrically.

The album which was recorded at Kunashe Studios by Olin Anderson carries seven tracks namely “Usvosvi”, “Chivi”, “Isaka”, “Savacheche”, “Shuramatongo’, “Isu Kwete” and “Jonah”.

Bhasvi stormed onto the music scene in 2013 when he released his debut album “Ropafadzo yaMwari” which however did not receive adequate airplay and flopped.

In two tracks on the latest offering, “Usvosvi” and “Isu Kwete.” Bhasvi features Harare gospel artiste Tinashe Hlomayi.

The three-week old album clearly shows that Bhasvi has upped his game.

“I was initially set to venture into the acapella genre but I noticed that music is also moving forward with and like technology.

“I introduced instruments to my otherwise apostolic gospel music and it sounds great, the audience have received it well judging from the feedback we are getting lately,” he said.

“I believe that soon most of the songs on the album will be topping the gospel charts on our local radio station and other stations too,” said Bhasvi.

Currently, “Isu Kwete” is already being played on Diamond FM.

Like most gospel artistes’, Bhasvi works with his wife, Melody Shayamano and thanked her among others for supporting him in his work and standing by him during his ups and downs in the harsh environment of the music industry.

“My wife has been my pillar and strength, even though the road has been full of thorns, she has always been there for me, encouraging and helping me all the way.

“Besides her, my church mates, friends and family have also been there for me and inspired me to keep on going despite the harshness of the road,” he said.
