A SAKUBVA prophet, Madzibaba Skynage Marwakuona, who late last year hogged the limelight after exorcising a Chikanga teenage witch who hissed and slithered like a snake after she was initiated by her Chipinge-based granny who owned six hyenas, five snakes, one wild cat and five owls has called on denominations not to prioritise cash in conducting healing sessions.

He urged Christians to pray fervently and rebuke all afflictions affecting them by using Jesus’ name.

Scores of people with different spiritual problems as well as various diseases have been swarming the shrine seeking assistance from the youthful prophet.

In an interview on the sidelines of a healing and prophetic session at his shrine in Sakubva recently, he said he was not spared by some people who have been lashing him and other prophets accusing them of being after money.

During the session, scores of people were healed and gave testimonies about how they were delivered by the maverick prophet who is now a household name in the sprawling suburb.

“As humans, we face challenges each and every day. Day-to-day afflictions such as poverty, betrayal, unemployment and illness among other things usually affect our lives as Christians, but it is our attitude that matters at the end of the day. We should rebuke the demons that complicate our lives and pray fervently. It is God who is using me to deliver some of you who are gathered here today. Go and have a positive attitude and be positive-minded always,” said the devout member of Johane Masowe Wechishanu Wenguwo Chena. He added that unlike other prophets who were after money and fame, he was not after anyone’s money or gifts, but was delivering people for God’s glory.

“I don’t ask people to pay me when I deliver them. I would have been one of the richest prophets in the country, but I do it for the glory of God and I am comfortable with it. Some prominent people (names supplied) come here to seek deliverance, but they ask for confidentiality. I pray to God to remain humble and fulfill what he called me to do,” he said.

During healing and confession time, Lazarus Ngorima (42), said he had family problems and would always have weird dreams.

“I was contemplating committing suicide because I always had weird dreams that would drive me to become violent and confused. I always dreamt myself being in prison before I met Madzibaba who delivered me in the name of Jesus,” he said.

Mona Gore (71) said she was suffering from high blood pressure and would usually encounter seizures before Madzibaba Skynage delivered her.

“I depended on pills each and every day. Pills were my life. This sickness pulled me back that I had to seek divine intervention through Madzibaba (Skynage). He delivered me. I am proud to say that for the past two months, I have not been taking any medication. My doctor told me that my situation had stabilised,” she said.
