A 21-YEAR-OLD Mutare woman allegedly bashed a teenager (17) for having an extra-marital affair with her husband.
The teenager is a Form Four pupil at Chishakwe Secondary School where the incident happened.
Rita Kaserara of Mvududu Village under Chief Zimunya pleaded guilty when she appeared before provincial magistrate Mr Tendai Mahwe. She was ordered to pay $20 fine. Mr Fletcher Karombe prosecuted.
The court heard that on August 22, Kaserara approached the 17-year-old girl and asked her to accompany her to her mother’s homestead.
“The girl agreed, but when they reached Chishakwe Secondary School handball pitch, Kaserara assaulted the girl. She was accusing her of having an extra-marital affair with her husband. The girl did not sustain any visible injuries,” said Mr Karombe.
