AS the year is about to curtain down, posh hotel and entertainment centre, Golden Peacock Villa Hotel has in store an array of festivities where local artistes will provide entertainment to couples and individuals while dining and wining.

The major headline, however, is the Adam and Eve dinner, which will be held on December 21, where couples – both married and unmarried – will renew their vows while mixing and mingling with the who is who of Mutare.

According to the hotel’s management, the dinner is targeting women to woo their men, in a biblical Eve way.

It is also meant to give couples a chance to drift away from their day-to-day hustling and spend quality time in celebration of love.

Talented jazz crooner, Steve Chikotie will serenade guests at the potentially explosive event.

“Adam and Eve dinner is loaded with quality presentations and taste. Major highlights being roast turkey, Christmas pudding and balanced entertainment from Steve Chikoti backed by local wheel spinners.

We will have an opportunity to present vintage wines both local and imported ones from our private sellers.

“This is one profound red-carpet dinner where lovely couples will be treated. This is a memorable, yet unique experience which cannot be missed,” said Willard “Widzo” Madhombiro, the Food and Beverages manager.

Couples will part with $45 for the event that will run for the whole night. They will be treated with a Christmas Eve cuisine fusion of Chinese culinary, Mongolia as well as English and American dishes available on buffet.

“We have an avalanche of activities starting from next week till New Year’s eve such as pool side braai parties where there will be lots of entertainment for all ages particularly kids, such as jumping castle, face painting and treasure hunting,” said Madhombiro.

He explained the essence of the event.

“The history of Adam and Eve back dates to thousands of years in the Garden of Eden, while Adam was assigned by God to take care of the affluent garden.
The Bible tells us that Adam was given simple and specific rules to follow. Of all fruits in the garden, he was given the right to eat, but the tree in the middle of the orchard God said, thou shall not eat and the first man was so obedient until the coming of Eve.
While so many preachers look at Eve from the negative point of view, one school of thought, sees Eve as one who was not of a deceiving nature, but adventurous, creative, convincing and a woman of influence,” he added.
