Fashion diva fix my look

The ManicaPost

Hello Mutare, I am so excited at the feedback we are getting from the makeovers we are doing. I cannot wait to showcase our next makeover which is a man. Yes even men need makeovers. Everyone deserves another chance and everyone has a story. Here we tell your story whilst showing you that your situation is not who you are, it is just a pothole in your life journey. You can look and feel the best that you can, by making a decision. Message the Fashion Diva if you want a makeover and if you have a story to tell that we can use to give someone out there courage to face each day.

This May, our Makeover is Frederick. This is his before pic. Be sure to buy the paper next week to see his after makeover.

Hello Mutare

My name is Frederick. l live in Mutare and I am a Christian. I am married with two amazing kids.

I am a man who is passionate about God and I am free to speak to anyone about Him. I know that I am lucky to be alive and I know that the only reason I am still alive is because of God.

As a human being I am not perfect and I sometimes find myself not where I should be as a person, but what I know is that God has His hand over me and will never turn me away. He has brought me through so much and he continues to take me through everything I go through.

My story starts a couple of years back. I worked with my Aunt selling clothes. Part of my job was to sell clothes in different communities. On this one particular day I had gone about my sales as usual, and decided to return home around mid afternoon. Whilst walking through a bushy area near our home which was my usual route, I crossed some guys. Unbeknown to me at the time they were thieves. They attacked me from behind, beat me, robbed me and left me in the bush, badly wounded and unconscious. I was found outside my Aunts house hours later badly hurt and still unconscious. No one knows how I got from the bush to the house or who brought me there. Weeks later I was wheeled out of the hospital with no memory of my recovery after the attack.

It has been a long, long, journey to recovery. I still have tough days where I suffer the effects of that unfortunate day, but I am more than grateful to God for saving my life and giving me a chance everyday to live, and have a family and touch lives. I believe, God obviously had and has a plan for me, that’s why he saved me. Currently I am not employed, but I volunteer doing odd jobs at my church. My ultimate desire now, is to run a social chat group, where Christians (weak and strong) can meet periodically, to discuss issues with each other in a trusting, confidential, non-judgemental atmosphere.

I would like to leave you with this . . . that no matter what you are going through and no matter how you are feeling, remember that God loves you. From the beginning of time you see that God made everything first for you to survive, he then put you on earth and gave you the gift of everything. That is love! Hold on to that when you feel alone and when you feel like you cannot go on. Remember God accepts you just as you are and loves you just as you are. Do not give up!

God bless  Federick.
