BITTER parents of the 46-year-old woman who died last week at the Revival Centre Church during a church service, have taken to blaming the church on the mysterious death of their daughter.

Suspicions, according to the mother of the late Pedzai Muyambo, Mbuya Mutxe Muyambo arose after the congregants of Revival Centre Church brought business to a halt in Dangamvura last Sunday as they celebrated and welcomed Prophet Adventure Mutepfa to their big Sunday.

Mbuya Muyambo said these celebrations were clear disrespect to them and their late daughter as the church had not yet come to explain to them on how she passed on.

“Barely a week after Pedzai died during their worship service, the church is already celebrating all over the suburb all in the name of giving to the poor and less privileged. How would we know that they were not celebrating her death?

“Their unexpected celebrations left everyone with the deepest suspicions that Pedzai’s death was a foundation to their church in some form of rituals. If not so, the Prophet should have already made a courtesy call and talked to us, explaining on how our daughter died and where she died,” said the bitter woman.

She said what Pastor Waerera had told The Manica Post that Pedzai had fallen outside the church, carried into the church and died at the hospital were all white lies.

In an interview, Pastor Waerera said they had arrived at the hospital with a breathing Pedzai and doctors had taken time to attend to her, for her only to die upon admission.

The deceased’s father, Mr Daniel Muyambo said on his card, the doctor wrote that Pedzai was brought in dead and there was no temperature or blood pressure levels recorded, clearly evidencing what the doctor had wrote.

“She died at their church but this Pastor Waerera wants us to believe that she died at the hospital yet they did not even tell us that our daughter had fallen and had been taken to hospital.

“We really need to know what happened and how it happened but as we speak, the elders and founder of the Revival Centre Church have not come here to explain to us what took place. They should come and take us to their church and show us the place they allege our daughter fell as is the custom,” he said.

Mbuya Muyambo claims that her daughter fell in church, during the Worship time after Prophet Mutepfa had walked past her and died.

She said some of the ushers who carried her lifeless body to the front of the church during the church service came and confessed to her.

Said Mbuya Muyambo: “Some of the ushers who carried her to the altar came here and confessed that she was already dead when they carried her. They said it took them four women and two men to carry her body to the pulpit where she was only attended to two hours later.”

However, in an interview, Prophet Mutepfa said he was on his way to call on the Muyambo’s and console them even though he also attended the funeral and burial.

He said last Sunday had been scheduled for a big Sunday and that it was not possible for them to cancel those plans since they had already buried Pedzai the previous week.

Prophet Mutepfa also said he was not sure if Pedzai was one of the people who were brought to the front of the church by the ushers because he was busy ministering the word of God and commanding evil spirits.

“I do not think there was anything wrong with the church conducting its big Sunday because we had already buried Sister Pedzai and the work of the Lord had to move on.

“I know the Muyambos are bitter at the moment as they are still mourning their daughter but we are on our way to visit them,” he said.
