Christianity is fastened on the death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The combination afore-mention is the precise definition of the Gospel.

I write the article being conscious of the time we are in now. It is wise to be abreast of the times 1 Chronicles 12:32

Easter has come, a moment we all commemorate the death of the Master Jesus Christ.

It is the prerogative of every Christian and non-believers to have a reflection on their lives.

While devious ways of commemorating Easter are being put in place, it is my humble appeal that we spare a thought for the agony Christ had during this time.

Isaiah 53:5 reiterates that by his stripes we were healed.

The freedom that Christians and many enjoy today came at a price.

The most honourable thing we can do as an appreciation to the unmatched love of Jesus Christ.

Remember Jesus did not die without purpose but he had to fulfil the eternal plan of salvation as designed by God.

Let me charge you dear reader to take this opportunity and realign your life and conform to the decrees of the master.

Easter is a moment that we should complement the death of Christ by conforming to his will.

As the world take time to focus on this special event.

It is up to an individual to make sure your life is made right before the sight of God.

As I look at the conduct of the world today I cannot help asking myself that, Did Jesus die in vain Galatians 2:21? Certainly not but our lifestyles unfortunately seem to be pointing towards that direction.

Acts 20:28 “Take heed therefore unto yourselves and to all the flock over which the holy spirit hath made you overseers to feed the church of God which he purchased with his own blood.”

The blood of Jesus that was shed on the cross goes beyond individual salvation.

It was also a price that he paid as he purchased his church today. This will activate me to challenge church leaders today to make sure that we direct glory to where it is worthy and that desist from the tendencies of demeaning individual glory at the expense of the precious blood that Jesus paid for the church.

It was through excruciating pains that Jesus fulfilled the plan of redemption and thus all we can do as his subjects is to pursue an upright life difficult as it is.

Easter is a reminder that we should all pay back the love that God expressed in our lives. The love of God was shown by him giving us his son while we were sinners 1 John 4:19.

While it was through love that God gave away his son, it did not in any way reduce the pains that Jesus endured from the garden of Gethsemane to the shameful death on the cross.

My dear reader, Jesus was beaten beyond recognition and his death was the most shameful of the time.

He endured all this to give life in abundance to you and me.

All that the master is imploring us to do, is to live according to the statutes outlined in the holy book.

If ever you think the death of Jesus was no event,

How will you interpret the earthquake?

How will you comprehend the torn veil?

How will you ever explain the darkness?

How about the dead that came to life when he died?(Matthew 27:45ff).

We do not have to be the centurion who was at Calvary who only realised that Jesus was the son of Man after the events listed above.

I am challenging you to have an Easter with a difference instead of gallivanting why not commit some time to Jesus.

We can trivialise anything else but not the death of Jesus.

God has shown us great love and we have to complement by taking a time to put to order our ailing spiritual lives.

Remember he says come unto me all who are heavily burdened Matthew 11:28.

You could be weary sick and devastated, the price for your redemption was paid.

Make right your relationship with Jesus this Easter and he will surely never forsake you.

HAPPY EASTER HOLIDAY
