CHRISTIANITY is about Jesus Christ, the son of God.

It is about living a life that resembles that of Christ after Jesus Christ overcame sin and death and therefore gave us the same overcoming power through the Holy Spirit.

This only happens after repenting from our sinful nature and acknowledging the Lordship of Him (Jesus Christ) in our lives.

Now if Christianity is about living a life that shows Christ, what are some of the things that we can learn from the life of Jesus Christ in the 33 years he lived on earth?

I will mention an example of one important trait of Christ. Jesus cared for the people. He was compassionate.

Miracles

People would gather around him in their thousands to hear the word of God and receive miracles, but He never demanded offerings.

He could tell that people were tired and hungry and so they needed something to eat. His disciples were not ready for such an “expense”, but Jesus Christ went ahead to feed them.

When the visually impaired Barthemeous cried after Jesus Christ, people asked him to shut up, but the Lord himself called him and gave him his sight.

Parents brought their children to Jesus for them to be prayed for, but his disciples barred them. Jesus Christ rebuked them and asked them to bring the children to Him because the kingdom of God was for  them.

The examples are many and that is why Jesus Christ in one of his important sermons on what would happen at the end of time gave a chilling example of what to expect.

Orphans
He spoke about how some people would enter heaven, while others would miss it. Those who fed the hungry, gave drink to the thirsty, accommodated strangers, those who clothed the naked, visited the sick at home or in hospitals, those who visited the imprisoned, looked after the orphans and genuine widows are the ones who were accepted into the kingdom of God.

The Bible says those people will ask the Lord when did we do all these things to you and Jesus Christ will answer and say: “Verily, I say unto you, in as much as you have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto me.”

Those who did not help anyone, those who didn’t care for anyone will be condemned and will wander when and where they ever met Christ and did not minister to Him.

The Lord will say: “Verily, I say unto you, in as much as you did it not unto one of the least, of these my brethren you did it not unto me.” Food for thought.

How are we treating people??? It could be at our churches, homes, workplaces, politics or in the streets. How are we treating people because surely one day we will have to answer questions before the Lord. Just do good to people as unto the Lord.

Remember, the gospel is about “How God anointed Jesus Christ of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power, who went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil for God was with Him”,  Acts 10vs38.

Be Blessed!!!
