District education inspector transferred

CHIPINGE District Inspector, Mrs Chiedza Beta, was transferred to Chimanimani.Mrs Beta was replaced by Mr Richard Gabaza who was District Inspector for Buhera District. Before her promotion, she was one of the three female headmistresses in the district in 1996.

A farewell party was hosted for her recently where speaker after speaker hailed Mrs Beta for improving the education system in Chipinge District. Others described her as a committed civil servant who left a legacy of success in Chipinge.

Education Inspector, Mr Mapfumo said Mrs Beta was a dedicated educationalist who worked hard to improve the pass-rate across the district.

“We want to thank Mrs Beta for the unforgettable role she played in this district. Through her wise counsel, Chipinge District performed well above average in all activities. The district will greatly miss her in future,” he said.

Assistant District Administrator, Mr Tedious Beto, hailed Mrs Beta for championing the end of child marriage in Chipinge District.

“It will be wrong to write Chipinge’s education history without mentioning Mrs Beta. The district will always remember Mrs Beta for her stance in championing child rights in Chipinge District. We look forward to work with the new incoming DSI,” said Mr Beto.

Speaking during the same event, Mrs Beta thanked Government departments, business community and headmasters for their support.

“Without your efforts, I would not have achieved this success to put the district on the map. I am encouraging everyone in Chipinge District to work with the new DSI. I also want to thank the political leadership in Chipinge for allowing us to perform our duties without any interference. Chipinge had become my second home and I will greatly miss the district,” said Mrs Beta.

Speaking during the same event, the incoming District School Inspector,Mr  Richard Gabaza, saluted Mrs Beta for guiding him to attain a top Government post.

“To you Mrs Beta, I appreciate your role in guiding me in attaining this top position. I am your product and through your mentorship I rose from Rattelshoek High School here in Chipinge to become a District Education Officer for Buhera. I want to thank everyone here in Chipinge for the warm welcome and I am looking forward to work with everyone for the benefit of our beloved country,” said Mr Gabaza.
