Did you know that a Television set is as good as a display artefact if it is not connected to power, but once it is connected it can inform you of what is happening around the world and it can as well entertain.
This is exactly the same with us human beings, we are not adequate on our own there is a great need to connect with a higher power which can make us a success and a wonder.
Proverbs 3:6 :(The Living Bible) “In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success”
The wise King Solomon puts it explicitly clear.
If we are really serious with getting somewhere in life and achieving something then it is imperative that we connect with God and give Him first place in our lives.
No creation can sustain itself without the help of its creator therefore we need God, we need his guidance and we need His help.
God’s help is not only to give us prosperity and success as we wish, it goes way deeper than that. There is a vacuum in the spirit of a man that is only filled by connecting to His maker and creator.
The connection brings a sense of peace, and fulfilment.
It was St Augustine of Hippo who said.
“Our Hearts are Restless Until They Rest in God”.
I thoroughly agree with this great truth. There is a restlessness, and uncertainty and discontentment if there is no devine connection with the Highest power who is God.
This is no difficult thing as it might sound, it is simple.
First and foremost, there is need to acknowledge that there is a power higher than myself and that power is God. Several times some people live as if there is no God and by so doing they hinder themselves from progressing in life and from having the desired peace of mind. After acknowledging His existence then involves Him in your life affairs.
As the Proverbs has said “put Him first” talk to him in prayer every morning.
Talk to him about the decisions you would like to make be it social, business or personal decisions. If you inquire from Him you will be surprised the amount of wisdom that will flow through you. Do not limit yourself on what you can do and who you can become, connect yourself with the power greater than yourself and see how life goes to a new level.
