A CHIKANGA-BASED upcoming Zim-dancehall artiste, Darlington Mahachi, who is popularly known in the local music circles as Darly-Boy Support Unit, has released another single that has been well received by lovers of the genre in the high-density suburbs.

The song titled “Ngoma Yawasu” which is also Mahachi’s second production, is a potential scorcher if well-marketed.

The song’s lyrics talk about totems and the way he feels about the “Wasu People” and the lifestyle as well as how they cope with various challenges they face in the ghetto.

The song was named after discovering the talent in Mutare. Mahachi (26) said the single was already rocking the local club scene and parties in and around the city.

The single was produced by Sir Tiger at Big Joes Studios in Dangamvura. Mahachi, a poet-cum-artiste, said his fans had welcomed the unique piece and were already playing it at house parties that are now popular in ghettos.

“We are in a process of taking our brand to ghettoes and we are convinced that our fans will love it, particularly Zim-Dancehall music lovers.

“I am happy that most of my fans are falling in love with my style,” he said.
