TEAMS from Chipinge South’s Checheche Growth Point are now partaking in the Masvingo Division Two B League after Zifa Manicaland administration failed to form the Checheche- Chipinge Manicaland Division Two which was meant for southern parts of Manicaland.Kaola FC of Chiredzi has maintained top spot in the Masvingo Division 2B League after humiliating Macdom FC 5-2 at home.

Kaola have 19 points off eight matches.

They have been dominating the Division Two League and are three points ahead of second placed Checheche outfit, Zineku FC.

Triangle FC Juniors known as Ramangwana Royals are currently on  third position after winning five of their eight matches, while Checheche City are fourth on the log.

The 24-team league was formed after Zifa Manicaland failed to form the Checheche- Chipinge Manicaland Division Two which was meant for teams from the southern parts of Manicaland.

The league is made up of teams from Masvingo, Checheche and Chipinge.

It is divided into Zifa Masvingo Division 2A and 2B.

Each league has a total of 12 teams.

Most of the teams have managed to play eight of their league matches though a few have games in hand.

Chisase B FC which joined the league recently have managed to play two matches, while Porto FC have played a single match and are rooted at the bottom of the log without any points.

Speaking to The Weekender, the league’s acting administrator, Tinos Chivasa, said their league was flowing smoothly despite lack of sponsorship.

“Everything is flowing in our league. We do not have a sponsor, but teams are doing their best to fulfill fixtures. The league is actually divided into two.

“We have ZIFA Masvingo Division 2A and 2B. The team that is leading in 2A is Mucheke Pirates, while Kaola Park are leaders in 2B. We also have Triangle FC Juniors who are doing very well.

So far we are left with 10 matches although some teams have games in hand after joining the league late due to financial constraints.

After we are done with our league, the top teams will go for play-offs and then the winners will play in the ZIFA Eastern Division 1 League next season,” said                                                               Chivasa.
