“PERFECT To Me” hit-maker, Lionel Matanda, who is popularly known in music circles as CAFF, has released an Afro-pop single which is set to surpass the preceding hit.
Produced by renowned music producer, Oskid, the three-minute long track, Formula, was produced at a moderate pace of afro-beats, mixed with a strong melodic rhythm and CAFF’s energetic, yet soul gripping lyrics.
In the track, CAFF who has been christened ‘the love doctor’ by most of his fans, pours his heart out to the love of his life, expressing his feelings by calling her some form of a Mathematics formula which he cannot live without and someone who will always sole his problems for him.
“You got the formula, panowekwa Maths, uri formula, pandaweka yangu uri formula, ndinoda kumuona anonditorera. Baby wangu, ah uri formula,” he resonates. Released just this Sunday, the potential chartbuster is already making its way into the local radio station, Diamond FM’s waves and it seems it has been well received by lovers of the genre in the high-density suburbs where it has become the new lovers’ anthem.
CAFF said: “Working with Oskid was awesome. Oskid is a really motivating character and he is very creative. Working with him again in the future is one of my hopes.” The Dangamvura born-and-bred CAFF promises an even more fireworks-filled video to his just released Formula in the next few months.
Other than Perfect To Me, some of CAFF’s hit songs include, ‘‘I Miss You’’, ‘‘Vavengi’’, ‘‘Hameno Ikoko’’ and ‘Broken’’.
