UPCOMING Afro-pop musician, Lionel Mutanda, affectionately known as CAFF, has released a video for the hit song, ‘‘Perfect To Me’’.
The song is currently receiving rave reviews on Mutare’s own radio station, Diamond FM. The video was produced by Zondai Chibuwe and shot at Lake Alexandra, Penhalonga and in some parts of Dangamvura.
The video which was shot in High Definition is clearly an expression of the musician’s maturity and creativity. Hardly a week after its release, it has already received several hits on You Tube.
The song, “Perfect To Me” is a love song where the singer expresses love to his girlfriend, pledging to love her through thick and thin. The song is set to mark his rise to stardom.
“The support that I have been getting from people who watched my video is very encouraging. It is already on You Tube and I will take it to national television broadcaster, ZTV soon. My music career began in 2009 while I was still a Form Two student at Dangamvura High School. “My mom has been a pillar of support in my career. I was also choir member at PAOZ Church. My dream is to produce good music for the people to enjoy. I want to represent my country and Africa on the big music screen. I have been doing shows around the city.
Performing alongside Zim-dancehall chanter, Freeman recently was a big inspiration,” he said.
CAFF dreams to collaborate with established regional artistes such as P Square and Diamond Platinumz among others. Some of his hit songs include, ‘‘I Miss You’’, ‘‘Vavengi’’, ‘‘Hameno Ikoko’’ and ‘‘Broken’’.
